WBC «Spartak», Moscow Region, was founded in 1949. Head coach was Mr. David Berlin. Now it\'s one of the most famous clubs in Russia. The first prize the club won was in 1967, winning in the Olympics of USSR peoples. During next 16 years «Spartak», Moscow Region had won 11 times the medals of different types in the USSR championships.

At the same time «Spartak», Moscow Region played an important role in the European basketball, winning three time during five years Liliane Ronchetti Cup(1977, 1981, 1982).During 2005-2006 season the club became the leading one in the European basketball – «Spartakovky» (Spartak players) added the European Cup to the club\'s collection. During the 2006-2007 the club` s management aimednigh so that it may become one of the premier Clubs in Russia as well as in Europe. It started by signing Natalia Hejkova from Slovakia and continued by securing the services of such names as Tina Thompson, Diane Taurasi, Sue Bird, Svetlana Abrosimova and Lauren Jackson. Common effort sand victory willing weren\'t in waste and the last2006-2007 season for the Moscow Region «Spartak»without any wrenches can be considered as triumphant. Reds-and-Whites won the EuroLeague and Russia Championship. Though to win the second championship wasn\'t easy and, actually, even more difficultly. «Spartak» players removed from the Russian throne the invincible during three previous years, Samara club Volgaburmash (VBM-SGAU). A complete team of high level basketball players, coach staff, and high level administrative managers, warm and bright atmosphere inside the club were the main reason of the Vidnoje club victory. All above-mentioned allowed the club to go from the start up to the winning finish!
