Olympic Reserve School

Modern basketball requires careful and regular work for the reserve training. The basis for future victories is laid only on the generation’s succession, organizational and training cycle precision, new sportsmen education, who have serious playing and tactical, willing potentials. Vidnoje Basketball School of Olympic Reserve was founded with that purpose, and Anna Arkhipova von Kalmanovic, Merited Master of Sports, multiple Europe champion, the winner of international and Olympic, and also Russia competitions, ex-leader of Russian Federation Team is responsible for its management. Se has also six assistants, who help her to prepare the reserve for the “Spartak”, Moscow Region first eleven.

Close contacts of the Moscow Region School with best Russian and foreign basketball specialists give the possibility to the school instructor’s staff first, to increase permanently their professional skills, second, to have unique training method, which makes trainings more intensive and fruitful. Also there are foreign languages classes for young basketball players, cultural program with exhibitions’ visiting, concerts of different artists. So, the children get vivacity and health together with initial sports skills far away from the negative megapolis influence.

Today following the coach activity of Anna Arkhipova von Kalmanovic you remind involuntarily her own basketball carrier as a player because it was like some days ago…

She played:1992 — 1997 - "Uralmash" (Ekaterinburg), 1997 — 1998 — "Miava" (Slovakia), 1998 — 1999 — "Delta" (Koshizhe, Slovakia), 1999 — 2000 — "Gdinia" (Poland), 2000 — 2001 — "Dynamo" (Moscow), 2001 — 2002 — "Venezia" (Italia), 2002 — 2004 — UMMK (Ekaterinburg). She wan bronze medal in the 2004 Olympic Games as a player of the Russian National Team; sixth prize in the 2000 Olympic Games; 2002 world vice-champion; 2003 European champion; 2001 Continent vice-champion; 1993 world vice-champion among juniors and 1992 Europe vice-champion among juniors; 2000 Poland champion, 2001 and 2003 Russia champion; 2004 silver medal of Russia championship; 2003 EuroLeague winner.

But Anna Arkhipova has been working in two directions same time of late: she is the School’s coach and also educates her own stars-sons. So, a male competition in the best clubs will grow up soon!
